Meet Careen, our esteemed Marketing & Communications Manager at Potager Farm. With a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and a Master’s in International & Development Economics, she is leveraging her academic background and industry experience in the retail and consumer goods sector to driving our sustainability initiatives and effectively communicating our mission. Born a citizen of the world, Careen has already called Canada, the UK, France, and Spain her home—picking up a bit of local culture and a lot of global perspective along the way. Committed to actualising sustainability, she’s not just an advocate but a practitioner, rooted firmly in Berlin’s vibrant eco-conscious landscape.
Bo is Potager’s Farm Manager and responsible for the cultivation and control of our crops. With his accumulated knowledge of plants and their needs, he enriches our team with his know-how and expertise. After his Bachelor’s degree in horticultural science, Bo completed a Master’s degree in process & quality management for agriculture and horticulture. Already as a child, he and his grandmother grew vegetables and fruits pesticide-free in their garden – later, they specialised in growing chillies. He grew up in a town near Pfälzerwald and has a passion for all things green and ecological.
Yoko is Potager’s Urban Farmer. She has a background in environmental sciences as well as hands-on experience in hydroponic projects.
Yoko brings a global perspective to the field of urban agriculture, having lived and worked in the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal. This multicultural exposure has enriched her understanding of different farming practices, while instilling a deep appreciation for the importance of sustainability in agriculture. Her ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between agricultural production and environmental conservation, ensuring a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
